Care guide for your Elephant Ear plant

• Water : Colocasias are thirsty and prefer moist soil. Water generously, especially during warmer periods, and never let the soil dry out completely. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.

• Light : Place the elephant ear plant in a location with bright, indirect light to partial shade. Too much direct sunlight can burn the leaves, while too little light can lead to stunted growth. A spot with morning sun is ideal.

• Temperature : This tropical plant thrives in warm temperatures between 20°C and 30°C. Avoid temperatures below 15°C, as this can stunt growth. High humidity is also essential for healthy, large leaves.

• Repotting : Repot the Colocasia annually in spring, or when the roots begin to fill the pot. Choose a pot one or two sizes larger to accommodate its rapid growth. Use a rich, well-draining potting soil.

• Fertilizing : During the growing season (spring and summer), the elephant ear plant needs plenty of nutrients. Fertilize every two weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Reduce or stop fertilizing in the fall and winter.
