Kentia Palm (Howea Forsteriana) Care

Watering

Water the Kentia Palm moderately, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Water less in winter.

Location

Place the Kentia Palm in a bright spot, but avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves. A spot with indirect light is ideal.

Feeding - Fertilizing

Fertilize the Kentia Palm during the growth period (spring and summer) once a month with liquid houseplant food. Do not fertilize in the fall and winter.

Maintain

Regularly remove dust from the leaves with a damp cloth. Prune brown leaf tips carefully, but do not cut into the healthy green part of the leaf.

Repotting

Repot the Kentia Palm every 3-4 years in spring, in a slightly larger pot. Use fresh potting soil for houseplants and ensure good drainage.
